Leaving Nauvoo

We had a wonderful time in Nauvoo! We were able to walk down the Trail of Hope. It was interesting to read the statements that some of the saints made. Reading those quotes brought what they went through, to life for me. We also went to the play, Grandma and Grandpa were in. It portrayed what it was like, when the saints first came to Nauvoo. The play was very cute! The last night that we were in Nauvoo we went and walked around the Temple! It is amazing to think that the saints were able to build that kind of building so quickly without modern technology. There was a peaceful feeling as we walked. I truly enjoyed being on the temple grounds.
Earlier in the day we went to Carthage jail. It made me sad to think what the prophet and those close to him went through. It was neat to see where history was made. Some of the stories they told were so incredible. You know that the Lord was with them.
