Nauvoo

This week we drove to Nauvoo. It was a long drive but worth it. I am thankful to get my husband away from work for awhile. Needless to say it has been pretty stressful. Nauvoo is absolutely beautiful. October is an awesome time to come. The leaves are just starting to change and the colors are amazing. It has been really fun to see Grandma and Grandpa Stevens. They have an awesome mission.
Yesterday we went to find Grandma in the sewing room. I can't believe how many dresses and outfits there are. Grandma has made quite a few of them and from what the missionaries around here are telling us she is quite the talented one. (we already knew that) We went and saw Grandpa Stevens at the horses. He gave us a tour around Nauvoo in the back of the wagon. The kids loved that, my little munchkin fell asleep and wet right through onto my jeans. Gross! Thankfully after that we could go and check into our cabins. They are small, but very cute! The bunk beds are a highlight. Then today we checked out the Heber C. Kimball house and the brickhouse. Grandpa showed us around and explained the brick making process.
